About Jonny and Kevin
If you don't have experience with more than one bird then this listing isn't for you. Jonny and Kevin are absolutely beautiful conures, they're bonded and get along very well most of the time, they occasionally steal each others food but they sleep together and play together quite well. They both have very unique personalities and they each have their own funny quirks. Jonny isn't shy at all and is definitely more outgoing than Kevin, who is much more skeptical and cautious but Kevin isn't shy when it comes to his food dish and can get a little aggressive when hands are coming in his cage at feeding time this only seems to happen when I hold his bowl for to long or my hand hovers around it too long But he's young and with the proper care and patience this issue can be resolved. Conures are a lot like gremlins lol if you take proper care of them they remain cute friendly and curious and relatively quiet like a Mogwai but if you don't they become miserable loud and moody like a Gremlin. that being said they do require a lot of work everyday. All birds need at least two hours out of their cage daily but even more time is highly recommended, covering them up in the daytime because you don't like to hear them or because the neighbors can't handle ten minutes of flock calls is a definite no no as they need to be uncovered in the day with plenty of sunlight which I realize is the opposite of a Gremlin but you get my point I'm sure 😊 if you need to go out in the day just leave some music on for them but a general rule is to make sure their needs are met before leaving for work or whatever it is you're doing that day, they both like sitting on my shoulder and on my head Jonny doesn't mind being held but Kevin isn't that into it yet, whenever they land on a new person they like to test the integrity of said persons skin and it's important not to freak out as this will make them want to keep testing it lol they're extremely lovable and very smart they just need a forever home where someone can give them all the time love and attention that they need on a daily basis, they require new toys occasionally as well they like to forage and chew which means Toys don't last forever not most toys anyway. If you're looking for two amazing companions then Jonny and Kevin would like to hear from you! They come with a tucker Murphy cage and setup! They both love lots of time outside their cage, and their new home should be ready to make that part of their routine. Jonny and Kevin are looking for a forever home with an experienced bird owner who can welcome them as a pair and give them the time and care they need. If you’re an experienced bird owner with room in your home and heart for two best friends, please consider applying to adopt Jonny and Kevin.
Temperament
Overall very mellow, occasional flock calls during the day and they play with each other for hours but they definitely like human interaction and welcome beak boops and neck scratches and will often sit on my shoulders and head 😁
Care Requirements
They require fresh water, certified organic fruit and vegetables daily! They require Harrisons lifetime fine bird food, and they require at the very least 2 hours of flight and free time outside of their cage daily they require enrichment and chewing toys, regular yearly vet visits, they require love and attention and someone with patience and understanding and a kind heart and hand who understands the needs of birds and will take on the responsibility with every intention of keeping, loving and protecting these beautiful birds for life. It is imperative that you never smoke around birds so if you're a smoker and smoke inside your home then birds aren't a proper fit for you. If you use harsh chemicals to clean your house that will have to be changed to bird friendly cleaners as their respiratory systems are quite fragile and just the fumes from cleaners can be toxic to them, the same goes for certain types of cookware Teflon coated is a serious no as well as air fryers.
Medical History
I don't know their medical history as I took them as a favor to a friend whose aunt owned the birds but she had a stroke and could no longer take care of them and then passed away two weeks later. Because I already own a conure i was willing to take on the responsibility for a short time but I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment and can't afford to keep them forever or trust me I would. Kevin hurt his foot a couple weeks ago but is on the mend and he's almost back to his normal self.
Special Needs
If I had to put a number on what it costs to properly maintain these birds it's probably around $150 a month bare minimum and that's not including vet visits. so just keep in mind if you can't afford them then get a budgie because these birds are a little more expensive to feed and maintain!

Note: I will not adopt her to a breeder nor to someone that has little free time (unless you have bird friends). Kiwi is a loving and quiet Green Cheeked Conure. She enjoys having company and is very sweet. A few years ago, her mate passed away and she has been a bit lonely since then. I've decided to finally adopt her out because my family now has 2 cats. For Kiwi's safety, I am looking for a suitable candidate to welcome her into their family. Kiwi does great with other birds and she has lived with budgies/other conures in the past. She tolerates being held and loves perching on your finger/shoulder. Kisses/head rubs are appreciated! Kiwi was born in 2014 and is banded. She's never had any health issues and has many years to go! If you are interested in adopting Kiwi please let me know. Include why you think your home will be a great fit for Kiwi. Thanks Kiwi has two cages: The large cage in the photo was purchased for $300. I will sell it for $80 The second cage is free and is much smaller Can deliver for a fee
